BY TRAIN at the main railway-station Hamburg-Hauptbahnhof or at Dammtor-BahnhofFrom the main central station (Hauptbahnhof), which can be also reached using the Airport-Express-Bus or from Dammtor Station, the bus (#102) brings you directly to the Chemistry Department (Stop: "Grindelhof").
BY BUSThe Central Bus Station (ZOB) is nearby the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) and you can use bus # 102, mentioned above, to reach the Congress Venue.
PARKING FACILITIESAt the Campus there is no special parking space available.
LOCAL TRANSPORTATION SERVICESFor registered participants and accompanying persons the name badge serves as a ticket for all local transport services (U-Bahn, S-Bahn, Bus) for the duration of the Symposium.
LUNCHFor regular participants lunch, included in the registration fee, will be provided from Aug. 28 to Sept. 1 from about 13.00 -14.00 at the Mensa, situated in short walking distance to the lecture halls.
BANKINGSeveral banks are located near the University. All standard currencies can be exchanged. Exchange rate: 1 Euro = 1.95583 DM = ~ US $ 1.00.
In Germany restaurants and shops will accept major credit cards, however, smaller amounts are payed in cash in DEM (German Mark).

INSURANCEParticipants are responsible for arranging their own health and accident insurance. The Organizing Committee will not be held liable for accidents, theft, or property damage.
INTERNET CONNECTIONSA Personal Computer terminal will be available to all participants of ICS 2000 at the conference venue.
SOCIAL PROGRAMThe social program for delegates and accompanying persons will include a Symposium Mixer and an Organ Concert. For accompanying persons a tourist program with daily excursions will be arranged by SCC. On Wednesday afternoon participants and accompanying persons will be invited to book and attend excursions.
